What EPN is not doing

Yes, passing key reforms is being done, but nothing else, is like we have forgot how to make politics a complete circle, a synergic action to assure the peace of mind of citizens. Our present needs to go back to the roots, Mexico has a big heart, enormous, but right now is shattered, completely broken.
As one of the many young voices marching for change, we want our voice to be the one kidnapping the institutions, we need to know that our universities are the birth to the new future of Mexico in terms of cultural, technological and political future. One that can be very bright, but we are treated as a menace to the interests that lay behind. The ones of the "narco", military, banks, laundry experts, economists, right-wing governments and oil producers...
Tlataya and Ayotzinapa are an open wound that we have been called to bare witness and overcome. Is clear that our president is not well educated, and I believe that somebody who doesn't read is reticent to feel real empathy for the cruel destiny we bare witness to.
Our recent history shows how political parties are covering their massacres. So the PRD governor of Iguala is now part of that history, even when they say it was a confusion, as if the young students of Ayotzinapa where delivered to Guerreros Unidos as if they were from Los Rojos rival narco-gang in the state of Guerrero. Even if this is true, last year, a similar group of students went there to smash the act of Abarca's wife, as they knew their bond with "narco" lords.
Even with this in our minds, people is clearly outraged and dazzled as they can't point to the real killers behind this and trying to get rid of a president that is not here and is not expected to act accordingly to the situation in Mexico. We have DNA results, we have the PGR involved, we have our "official" media acting irresponsible. We are saying to the world: "enough is enough". But this tiredness is not objective, we are failing to advance and make the best of the saddest situation Mexico has deal with in years (Aguas Blancas, Atenco, ABC, Ayotzinapa, Tlataya, and 'sicarios' and 'maras' expanding everywhere.)
43 is the number that is in our mind, when the real number of outrageous killings is far bigger. En even more outrageous the slow response from our institutions. The worst thing is that the popularity sinking of EPN has nothing to do with the atrocious murders only, it comes from his campaign, election and poor culture displayed from the beginning. And in recent times the purchase of luxury mansions by his wife, Angélica Rivera, telenovela's star, called "La Gaviota", related with Televisa, the ones allegedly behind the promotion of EPN (as Soriana, a Mexican Walmart-like business).
Distrutful as ever the citizens are receiving critics, but hardly enough you hear something about real solutions. Resentment arises, democracy clashes, the struggle is going to be a difficult one for Mexico and violence is starting to confront us as a whole. 100 years from our revolution, things never got a decent closure. Even with angry people, manifestations have been peaceful and the ways of police and law enforcement hasn't meet transparency or proportioned actions, as they used far known and hatred techniques to clash and apprehend protesters in the American and European fashion we have seen lately. Causing even more justified anger emerges from the streets.
“No vale nada la vida, la vida no vale nada”
Popular adage from a Mexican song, but the millennium accounts with over 100,000 deaths from criminal violence. Tamaulipas, Michoacán, Guerrero, Ciudad Juárez, Morelos, Mexico (adjacent to DF) are making it to the headlines more than often. Kidnappings, massacres, assaults, extortion are becoming endemic; at the same time impunity is, as 98% of crimes go unsolved. Astonishing inadequacy of Mexican law enforcement to deal with this country problems.
Bloody hell is not an expression, is the history of Mexico, the shadow of Porfirio Díaz (1876-1911 ruling out with iron fists) and Mexican Revolution that ended with the PRI being founded in 1929 (over 70 years in the power with a twelve year transition to the PAN party, that prove as inefficient or even worst). Both sucking from the udder of corruption, impoverishing Mexicans as they get richer than ever with ties with famous drug lords that even reach Forbes lists or try to negotiate paying our external debt (Loera or Carrillo, respectively).
On the bright side Mexico has freedom of expression, social activists and human rights institutions that really work, but little can do to solve the issues if the demands are being unheard and their back as constant response. Au contraire, EPN is trying to centralize the power and fool Mexicans with packs of reforms, some of them really important (professional law enforcement and new standards in prisons), others just strategy to divert attention.
"Ahorita" EPN must end his relation with Grupo Higa (train of great speed contracts, luxury mansions and more to be revealed), remove and change his cabinet as we know how they've been negotiating with them, even when the first lady announced the selling of the mansion or the cancelation of the railway construction, he need to stand up and accept the mistakes and pass to action. We need an apology, a sincere one, not a staging as telenovela actress offered to explain her purchase of the mansion (which no one believed). EPN has to show humanity, personality, start to be the president, as Mexico is "president-less" since the beginning. Ethical leadership is what we have been lacking of since Lázaro Cárdenas. Not even Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas or López Obrador (left-wing politicians claiming to have this ethical principles) can meet the level of politics the situation requires, their image also worsened due to all this problems are not exclusively of one political force.
